Priyadarsanan Dharma Rajan – Sr. Fellow with Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment
Priyan is a fantastic partner of GEC and advocate for the importance of entomological science. He’s a passionate conservationist, taxonomist, and ecologist specializing in conservation biology, insect biosystematics and conservation bio-control. His many exciting research expeditions have gained international recognition for their scope and productivity in species discovery and ecological knowledge.
He has authored two books, more than 50 research papers, several popular articles and described 40+ species new to science. He is a member of various national and international scientific and academic bodies and is on the board of editors of many journals. In the last three years, he has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Freshwater Group at the Society for Conservation Biology.
